A medium sugarcane-shaped pin from Gerald Haessig’s jewelry collection commissioned by the Historic New Orleans Collection.

Created in 2006 for HNOC’s first exhibition after Hurricane Katrina, the collection accompanied an exhibition exploring the sugarcane trade between Santo Domingo and New Orleans. A sugarcane pendant from the same jewelry collection was presented to First Lady Laura Bush during her visit to the HNOC archives.
