Pete's passion for layered craftsmanship was sparked in 2015 during a trip to Japan, where he was captivated by woodblock printing and intricate paper crafts. Back home in New Orleans, he developed the idea of using a computer-controlled laser to cut and etch cardboard into layered dioramas, and in 2017 created his first prototype.
