David Howell and Company - Guillotine Earrings, Gold
The guillotine is best known for its use during the French Revolution, where the revolution's supporters celebrated it as the people's avenger. These earrings are inspired by a 19th-century pair of earrings based on caricatures from that time. It shows on the head of Louis 16th and Marie Antoinette suspended under the blade of a guillotine, itself attached to a Phrygian cap.
